I strongly believe that we are ALL exactly where we are meant to be. Growing up as a hippie, athlete, beach bum in Long Beach, California, I never imagined I would plant my feet in Shreveport, Louisiana, much less be a mother of 7.
My parents retired when I was a junior in high school and moved our family to Flagstaff, Arizona. As I struggled through the culture shock of going from life on the beach to life in a small mountain town, I grew to love people of all different races, shapes and sizes. I went from being a minority in a town full of Hispanic, Samoan, African American, Italian and Slav people, to being a minority in a town next to an Indian reservation, where I would finish high school with some of the most amazing Navajo and Hopi Indian cultures surrounding me.
I received my paralegal certification through the University of Arizona. I began my career 20 years ago as a Paralegal in Phoenix, Arizona working for a personal injury firm. I have experience in nursing home litigation, personal injury and insurance defense. I am thankful to have found my way into this position at Perkins and Associates. Working to defend industries that move and protect America has proven to be the most fulfilling work thus far. Most of my litigation experience is within the State Court system and now I am expanding my knowledge in Federal Court litigation. I enjoy the legal field as it is always evolving and changing.
I am married to a Lt. Colonel in United States Airforce. Together we are raising our blended family including our 3 dogs and 2 cats. We go on as many weekend get-aways as possible. When we are home, we enjoy the ongoing party that a household of 9 brings. One of our favorite places to spend time is our backyard patio, where we play cards and entertain guests. If I had personal time, I believe it would be spent playing and hiking with my dogs Myleaux and Ruby.
